Eng. Richard Kato Sembatya is an experienced engineering and technology professional with expertise in computer systems research and development, embedded systems, telecommunications engineering, renewable energy, and aviation communication and navigation systems.

He has professional experience with the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) as a Computer Systems R&D Engineer and previously served as a Lecturer in Computer Engineering at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). His experience spans project management, embedded systems development, communications, navigation and surveillance systems, and technology-driven research and innovation.

Eng. Sembatya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master’s degree in Power Systems Engineering from Makerere University. He is also a member of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and a Corporate Member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE).

As Chief Executive Officer of JERM Technology, he provides strategic and technical leadership, guiding the company’s research-driven approach to developing practical hardware and software solutions for real-world challenges.
